An Introduction to Our School Website

The purpose of this web site is to provide information regarding events at the school for current parents and pupils as well as giving an insight to prospective parents. We hope to also provide a little nostalgia for all those who have come and gone.

By browsing through the site you can find all of the important information about the school including Term Dates and other important events as well as being able to download letters that you may have missed. You can also look at a large selection of our work or read news items written by the children about life in the school. Other items of interest can be found in the History Page where the school can be tracked back to it's humble origins or take a tour on our Facilities page.


Over time there will be more gallery pictures of recent events and of times now in the distant past. We now have access to a significant number of historical photographs dating from Miss Burkes era in charge of the school and hope to soon be able to show these in a Gallery on this site. These pictures date starting from around the early 1950's up to Miss Burke's last year in charge 1974/5.

• Prospective admissions September 2011:
  If your child is due to start school in September 2011 and you wish to view Theydon Bois Primary School we will be hosting Prospective Parent Visits in school on Tuesday 12th October and Thursday 25th November 2010.  All tours of the school begin at 9.30 a.m. sharp and are restricted to adults only.  Please contact the school nearer the time to  book a place. • Applications:
  Should you wish to apply for a place at the school at any other time (for example if you are moving into the village) you will need to apply directly to Planning & Admissions at Essex County Council as all allocation of places is handled centrally.  Please telephone: 0845 603 2200 or access information via the website: www.essex.gov.uk/admissions
