The Bull

Charming 17th Century Pub and Restaurant

Welcome to The Bull!

Sally and Steve Allen welcome you to The Bull, Theydon Bois' oldest Public House. Dating back to the 17th Century The Bull was orignally a private residence called 'The Tile House'. The building was later extended and became an inn known as 'The Bull's Head' before settling on the name we know today.

Today the pub retains much of it's original charm with exposed oak beams and polished wood floors in the bar area. Sally and Steve have created a very welcoming atmosphere with their tasteful decoration throughout the bar and restaurant areas.

The Bar is always well stocked and we serve a wide selections of Ales, Lagers and Stouts including real ale such as IPA, Spitfire and Bombadier. A large selection of wines, including favourites such as Pinot Grigio and Merlot, are always available by the glass or by the bottle as well as a full range of spirits, soft drinks and hot beverages.

You will always find our bar a comfortable and relaxing environment to enjoy a drink or two with friends, family or colleagues.

In the Winter with the fire lit you won't find many places much cosier.

When eating at The Bull you can either sit in the bar or in the restaurant. The menu is the same. As well as the extensive printed menu there is also a list of Daily Specials on the blackboard. On Sundays you can join us for a Traditional Roast and let us do all of the hard work for you.

The restaurant has been refurbished with new decor and soft furnishings and you will find it the perfect place to while away an evening or a Sunday afternoon or as the perfect venue for that Special Party, Celebration or Function.

Outside we have a small paved Beer Garden for those long hot lazy summer afternoons!
